The Australian TRE Clinical Training Program is open to Australian Health Professionals with diploma or degree qualifications in relevant movement, exercise or body-based approaches that’s scope of practice can justifiably include TRE & the use of neurogenic tremors.

The CTP  requires 3 hrs per week including self-guided learning & a 1 hr live online group practical class from 5pm – 6pm on Tuesdays (Melbourne time) from 24th September  – 10th December.

The cost for the training is AUD $3300 (including GST) paid in full upfront or $3600 paid in 3 monthly instalments. Please note there is an additional US $35 fee payable to TRE For All Inc to register as a trainee in the global TRE training community.

 

Overview

The Australian TRE Clinical Training Program (CTP) is a 12-week online training that endorses suitably qualified Health Professionals to teach TRE to individuals within the scope of practice of their existing qualifications.

In addition to your ongoing personal practice of TRE the training requires approximately 3 hours per week consisting of:

  • self-guided review of a pre-recorded video & written materials (1 hr)
  • attending a live online group practical class via zoom (1 hr)
  • either a self-guided practice session or individual supervision session with your trainer teaching TRE to other volunteers or other trainees (1hr)

You will be required to organise & teach a minimum of 4 volunteers over the course of the training with full details of the prerequisites, enrolment procedures, curriculum, training tasks, competencies & steps for completion outlined in detail below.

The cost for the training is AUD $3300 (including GST) paid in full upfront or $3600 paid in 3 monthly instalments plus an additional US $35 fee payable to TRE For All Inc to register as a trainee in the global TRE training community.

Please note – this training does not provide a stand-alone TRE qualification nor train you to teach TRE to groups. Additional training to teach groups or a pathway to complete a stand-alone TRE qualification will be available upon completion of this training.

Prerequisites

  • Australian Health Professional holding a diploma or degree qualification in a relevant movement, exercise or body-based modality that TRE & the use of neurogenic tremors falls within your scope of practice
  • completion of the free online TRE course at www.trecourse.com
  • (*if you have attended a 1 Day Introduction to TRE (or longer) you are welcome to apply for the training & complete the free online course after your enrolment)

Enrolment

  • book a free 30 minute enrolment interview via my online booking calendar here
  • submit an enrolment application form available to download here at least 24 hrs before your enrolment interview
  • payment of training fees (AUD $3300 up front) or first payment (AUD $1200) of a 3 month payment plan (determined at enrolment interview)
  • payment of US $35 fee to TRE For All Inc to register as a trainee in the global TRE training community (once paid forward your confirmation to your trainer)

Weekly / Module Tasks

  • review each module’s theory before attending the module’s online practical class
    • pre-recorded video presentation + written training manual
  • attend the online group practical class
    • 5pm – 6pm Tuesdays (Melbourne time zone)
    • (please note you must attend a minimum of 9 live classes or additional paid supervisions to reach competencies may be required)
  • complete either a self-guided practice session or live online individual supervision session with your trainer teaching TRE to other trainees or a volunteer
    • details for each module’s session are outlined in the ‘Training Requirements & Log Book’ available to download here
    • (please note you will need organise a minimum of 5 volunteers to complete these practice hours)

Personal Practice

  • complete & journal a minimum of 3 personal practice session of TRE per week over the course of the training (what to cover in your journal will be outlined in the Module 1 training manual)

  • Module 8 – Activations & Closed-Chain
  • Module 9 – Touch & Transference
  • Module 10 – Breath & Sound
  • Module 11 – Integrations & Completions
  • Module 12 – Grounding & Growth
  • Clinical Support – Session 1
  • Clinical Support – Session 2
  • Clinical Support – Session 3

You will also need to complete an online theory quiz with 90% accuracy.

Competencies

  • Growing – continuing growth & development through your own personal practice of TRE
  • Grounding –progressive grounding while teaching TRE to others
  • Introduction – create context & safety appropriate to each individual
  • Screening – perform a suitable health check including mental health & trauma
  • Activation – effectively use different techniques to invoke neurogenic movement
  • Regulation – teach safe & effective self-regulation or co-regulation if required
  • Facilitation – observe neurogenic movements & apply safe & effective facilitations
  • Instruction – providing appropriate support & ongoing use advice for each individual

Please note – if you have not demonstrated the above competencies during the course of the training additional self-guided practice or paid supervision hours with your trainer (AUD $130 per hr) may be required.

Completion

To receive your certificate you will need to have completed the following steps:

  • demonstrated of the above competencies
  • completed the online theory quiz with at least 90% accuracy
  • submitted your completed log book with dates & details for each of the training tasks requiring details of completion
  • submitted a 1 to 2 page journal summary reflecting upon your personal growth & professional development over the course of the training

 

Post-Training Support

Upon completion of your training you will be able to attend 3 x monthly live online support groups to ask questions & receive guidance & support in your clinical application of TRE.
